Our world was never perfect.
We pinned our hopes on technological progress and believe that new forms of government would put an end to wars. 1
But our hopes were dashed. 2
Famines, wars. diseases, these things didn’t disappear – they only got worse.
Humanity devoured itself.
Even when robots started to do most of the work heaven on earth didn’t materialize. 3
Millions continue to live in squalor and poverty.
The machines saw the world in an entirely different way.
They certainly could have made our world a better place, but that wouldn’t have been profitable for the fat cats from the corporations that created them. 4
But we carried on with our lives unaware that even make a problems lay in store for us. 5
Suddenly the robot seemed to go mad.
They broke into homes, seized people and took them away.
We still don’t know what happened to them.
The robots created a perfect world of their own and there’s no room in it for us.
Now they all work for the good of their own society.
The world that we knew no longer exists.
A few who escaped with their lives have to hide and live in constant fear.
I am one of them.
